Individuals also may be self-nominated for 2026, 40 Under Forty Awards. 

Honorees will have demonstrated excellence in areas such as:

Launching transformative products or
platforms in agriculture

Leveraging emerging technology to
solve critical ag challenges

Putting agricultural innovation into action
in their farming operations

Growing rural economies and empowering
rural communities

Becoming thought leaders who influence policy,
sustainability,  or societal aspects of

combination of the following criteria:

• Innovation in Agriculture: Successfully introduced a new product, service, platform, or process that improves farming, food systems, or their enterprise.

• Business Growth: Demonstrated significant growth in customer base, revenues, or market expansion over the past 12–24 months.

• Thought Leadership: Integrated forward-thinking practices that positively impact environmental, economic, or social aspects of agriculture.

• Industry Influence: Recognized by peers and industry stakeholders as a leader or disruptor shaping the future of agriculture.

• Entrepreneurial Grit: Demonstrated resilience, adaptability, and a bold vision in scaling or launching ventures in agriculture.

• Community Impact: Created measurable value for farmers, communities, underserved markets for the betterment of Rural America.

• Use of Technology: Effectively leveraged emerging technologies to solve pressing ag challenges.
